5. Dissemination

  • to hold trainings of 1 week duration delivered by Russian trainers who were retrained in EU Universities/ Institutions to distribute their knowledge and experience among their colleagues from BSUEL and experts from regional authorities engaged in the municipal servants vocational training to form the network of trainers.

About 50 professors and experts (nonparticipting directly in the project) are to be trained for three years.

  • Dissemination workshops.

One workshop of 1 week duration will be hold each project year in the partner University ( Russia). During the workshop trainers and professionals will discuss the distance training system’s relevant issues and examples of better practice in this sphere.

18 Russian trainers, 10 partner University academic staff members, 20 academic staff members from universities of Irkutsk and other regions and 20 state and municipal servants will be effected by this dissemination per year. In total 30 partner University academic staff members, 60 academic staff members from universities of Irkutsk and other regions and 60 municipal and state servants will be effected by this kind of dissemination for 3 years in total.

Newly developed courses will be shared among Russian Universities in Siberia and used by them. Newly developed methods of teaching and evaluation will enhance the level of training and make it closer to European standards.

  • Dissemination conferences.

Each project year there will be a dissemination conference of 1 week duration on issues of Local Self-Government Effectiveness, Municipal Management or Territorial Development. The conferences proceedings will be published and distributed among municipal administrations and other stakeholders (Universities of Siberian region).

18 Russian trainers, 15 academic staff members from other universities, 25 representatives of the Irkutsk Regional Administration and municipal administrations and 4 EU coordinators are to take part in these dissemination conferences per year.

In total 45 academic staff members from other universities and 75 representatives of the Irkutsk Regional Administration and municipal administrations will be involved in this kind of dissemination for 3 years in total.

The project will have a major disseminating effect in Siberian regions of Russia, to different Russian University staff outside the participating University and to municipal servants from different Siberian municipal administrations.

  • The project web-site will be designed and maintained to indicate the project progress and to disseminate the project achievements.

of Istvan Suli-Zakar, Project Grantholder, Head of Department of Social Geography and Regional Development Planning (University of Debrecen, Hungary) and Gyula Szabo, Project Manager, research fellow of Centre for regional Studies (Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Hungary)

Professors Istvan Suli-Zakar and Gyula Szabo visited Baikal University to attend the dissemination seminar within the Tempus project framework. They were to provide Russian professors with advices on how to develop new training courses according to European standards. Istvan Suli-Zakar and Gyula Szabo checked the draft versions prepared by professors from BSUEL and made necessary comments and corrections.

The University of Debrecen (Debrecen, Hungary) academic staff members took part in the meeting in the Irkutsk Regional Administration. Next participants attended the meeting:
